Our Process

Planning Decision Process

Knowing your finances are set up to support the life you want to live shouldn’t be hard or confusing.  That is why we follow a straightforward 6-step process to help you make an informed and educated decision about working together.  This process will help you alleviate your concerns about money, show you exactly what can be done with your financial resources to help you live a better life, and welcome you into a mutually beneficial partnership should you accept the invitation.

Step 1: Phone Consultation

This is where we simply get to know each other in a friendly 15-minute conversation. This is an opportunity to ask questions and to make sure your situation matches our expertise.

If we aren’t a good fit for each other we will gladly introduce you to a firm that is better suited to your need.

Step 2: Discovery Meeting

This Get-to-know-you meeting allows us the opportunity to explore your financial aspirations and unique financial situation in greater detail. The purpose of this meeting is to have a meaningful and personalized discussion about where you currently are financially and what you would really like to see happen in your life.

Step 3: Our Assessment

At this stage, we put our experience and expertise together to analyze a few key documents that will will help us show you exactly what you can do to align your money with reality. It is here we begin to address your most pressing and important financial questions, such as:

  • Can you eliminate, or at least reduce, threats against loss of income or to your retirement?
  • Can you afford to retire? How much should you save to meet your retirement goals?
  • Are you overpaying your taxes?
  • Can your portfolio be improved?

Step 4: Plan and Proposal Meeting

During our second meeting, we present a plan and proposal that answers the most relevant questions above and where you will see how our firm can help you make the most of your money.

At the end of this meeting we will ask you if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you want to sleep on it.

Step 5: Think about it

We know that choosing the right financial partnership is a huge decision. That’s why I encourage you to go home and take time to think about this decision. There is no pressure to work together, only an open invitation when you’re ready.

Step 6: Onboarding and Start Initial Planning

If you said, “YES!” to Frontier Financial Planning, we’ll begin formalizing the relationship before our next meeting. At our first initial planning meeting we will celebrate our new partnership and begin the process of implementing your plan.
