A Balanced Approach to Your Financial Journey
We believe in being just loud enough in your financial life—active when you need us, yet always respectful of your time. Whether through our standalone financial planning or comprehensive wealth management services, our goal is to educate, inform, and advise at the right moments, empowering you with the knowledge to navigate your financial journey confidently.
Together, we’ll identify your objectives and obstacles, crafting a tailored plan that aligns with your life and goals. Our approach is designed to help you make informed decisions without overwhelming you. We clearly distinguish between cash management and long-term investment strategies, ensuring that each aspect of your financial life is addressed with clarity and purpose.
When it comes to investments, we maintain a disciplined approach, focusing on low-cost, diversified, risk-aligned asset allocation. We invest according to your objectives and avoid reacting emotionally to market fluctuations, keeping your long-term goals at the forefront.

Greta Myerchin-Tape, CFP®, RLP®
Frontier Financial Planning Founder, Lead Planner
Greta Myerchin-Tape, founder of Frontier Financial Planning, born, raised and working in Alaska. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University and, after a stint as a Civil Engineer in Anchorage, completed an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Hydrology from University of Alaska, Fairbanks. She worked as a water-resources and environmental engineer in Fairbanks, Anchorage and remote locations across Alaska for nearly twenty years before making the career change to financial planning and investment management. Greta has found incredible opportunity and joy in financial planning, realizing that the right financial decisions can result in tremendous value and make a real difference in the lives of the clients she supports.
She founded Frontier Financial Planning in 2017 to support her Alaska neighbors in realizing their versions of financial well-being and independence. The mission of Frontier Financial Planning is to have a positive impact on the lives of clients by helping them achieve personal goals and find peace of mind with their finances. To this end, she helps distill and clarify the overwhelming and complex barrage of details and recommendations around finance to create clarity and tailored financial plans.
Like so many in Alaska, Greta relishes recreation and the ready access to wild places available just outside her door. Growing up in Ketchikan, she’s been prepared, since a young age, for a life in the rugged climate of Fairbanks, Alaska, where she now lives with her husband and two daughters. Before settling down to raise her family and enjoy the wilds of 49th state, she traveled extensively across England, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, even living out of her truck as she made her way across the lower 48.
When she’s not actively planning for the financial well-being of her Alaska neighbors, she can be found playing music on the deck with her husband and friends, or sharing the outdoors with her daughters, skiing, mushing, walking and canoeing. She’s appreciated the summers and the climatic challenges across the state and continually enjoys the wonders and unique considerations of living, working and raising a family in Alaska.
